1. Information We Collect
We pride ourselves on offering a private, safe environment for LAC creators. LAClab does not require account creation, and we do not collect personal identifying information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
- Theme Preferences: We use your browser's Local Storage to save UI preference choices such as the Theme Switcher active color and preferred Engine settings.
- Usage Data: We may collect standard anonymous analytics to understand how our tools are used (such as the Triggerbox Builder popularity) without tracking individual users.
2. Cloud Engine Processing
When you use our Cloud Engine for media optimization (H.264 Baseline or OGG conversion), your files are processed through our dedicated, self-hosted Oracle Cloud (OCI) infrastructure.
- Volatile Memory: Conversion happens in real-time within volatile memory.
- Immediate Deletion: Files are automatically purged from our server immediately after the conversion is completed or if the connection is interrupted.
- Standard Privacy: LACLab does not store, backup, or "look inside" your media files. We act only as a processing bridge.
3. Third-Party Services
Our website interfaces with third-party APIs and infrastructure to provide its core features:
- CatBox Hosting: When using the Lab Host, your files are sent via our secure LAClab Worker to
catbox.moe. We do not store or inspect these files. Please refer to CatBox's privacy policy for their data handling terms. - Cloudflare Workers: We use Cloudflare Workers (
lab-proxy.laclab.workers.dev) as a high-performance layer to handle secure file forwarding for uploads and generate compatible download links for game-engine usage. Metadata such as chosen link expiration durations are stored in a secure Cloudflare KV database to manage the lifecycle of generated links. No personal data is captured during this process. - Content Proxies: Occasional fetch proxies may be used to process external links for metadata extraction or game compatibility.
4. Data Security
Since we do not collect personal data or host user accounts, the risk of data breaches involving personal information is negligible. Any site-related data is served securely via standard HTTPS through Cloudflare Tunnels. We employ modern security headers to protect users while browsing.
